RAFSPA Gold at Armed Forces Parachuting Competition

RAFSPA entered 2 teams in the Inter Services 4-way FS competition held at Netheravon last week. The Rookie team came a respectable 7th out of a field of 13 - a good result given their inexperience and lack of training.

Congratulations to Mick, Sharon, Shayne and Adey who collected gold in the A category, beating 10 teams from the Navy and Army. Some photos taken at this afternoon's awards ceremony are on the Dave Ledward User Album in the Gallery (the swooper in the phot was not RAF but did a fast landing demo on a high performance canopy with a 20ky tail wind (kahunas!)).

I should also mention that Weston's own Ci Sitra/Si Citra picked up a silver medal in the rookie class with team Paradigm. Nice one Si.

Nice one Ricky. The manifest spent the first day pronouncing their name PARADIGGEM - not sure if thats because they didnt know how to pronounce paradigm or maybe the team themselves didnt know - they are paras after all. Only kidding Si.....
