Accelerated Freefall (AFF)

For those who are either a little more daring, or seriously interested in becoming a skydiver, Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) is for the ultimate experience. The learning process is four times faster than the traditional static line progression system, and the programme is designed to provide a more personal type of instruction for the student. The course gives you the ability to experience 45 seconds in freefall from the first to the last jump with every jump from 13,000 feet. After eight descents have been completed successfully, a further ten consolidation descents will have to be made under supervision, before the student can be classed as an intermediate parachutist.

Level One training is run on a Friday or Saturday, this involves a minimum of 6 hours ground training. The Level One jump will then take place on the Saturday, weather permitting. Once completed you can continue to complete more levels throughout the day or weekend if desired.

Courses are run in groups of up to 4 students and instructed by British Parachute Association qualified instructors who have all got years of skydiving behind them. All AFF courses run at the pace of the students and lessons include Equipment Familiarisation, Canopy Control, Aircraft Drills and Emergencies, Exits, Landings and Malfunctions. Each lesson is easy to understand and involves hands on as well as classroom lectures. Each student is supplied with his own personal parachute, jumpsuit, altimeter and if necessary goggles for the course

The minimum age to start an AFF course is 16, the upper age limit set by the BPA of 55. This is ideal for social groups to learn together as well as individuals. The maximum weight limit for this course is 15.0 stone.

The cost for just a Level 1 jump is £350. The full course of 8 levels is £1500 when paid individually or £1350 in full before the course starts. Consolidation descents cost £35.00 each. Pay for all consolidation jumps and save £30!
